The 4 no. MBR chambers at the site were being refurbished. This involved the widening of the tanks to accommodate new, larger filter cassettes. The existing GRP covers were therefore too short to fit the rebuilt chambers.
4 no. 8.5m x 3.1m MBR Filter covers designed to be individually removable and to support an imposed load of 5kN/m2.
1 set of GRP Handrailing to fit around open sections of the cover to protect site personnel during filter cassette removal.
Each cover assembly was made up from self-supporting panels that could be removed individually to allow access to each filter cartridge. The panels were fitted with lifting lugs so that the panels could be removed using the gantry crane.
